StatesNCaps is a matching quiz designed to test your knowledge of U.S. geography. The program will select ten states and thirteen capitals at random. Your job is to match the states to the correct capitals. When you quit the program, the computer will tell you how you have done overall. You may choose from among four different playing options to vary the challenge.
StatesNCaps is a desk accessory, and as such, may be run from the desktop or from within an application. When the program starts, the first screen will contain a condensed version of the instructions. From this screen, you may use the

icon to view the second screen of instructions, the
@Start
icon to play the game, or the
@Quit
icon to leave the program. The second screen of instructions explains the options on the game's menu. From this screen, the
@Start
and
@Quit
icons may be used as the first screen. The third screen is the game itself. The fourth and final screen contains your final score. From the final screen, the
@Quit
icon will leave the program, while the
@Restart
icon will go back to the game, with your total scores set back to zero.
To play StatesNCaps, click on the box next to one of the States. The chosen State will be the question. To answer the question, click on the box next to the correct Capital. The computer will tell you if you have chosen the correct Capital. You may click a second State after the first, and the second State will be the question. The question will always be highlighted. Note: You may select a Capital first, in which case the Capital will be the question, and the State will be the answer.
Menu selections:

option on the menu will select a new screen of States and Capitals. The
@quit
option will display your final score and exit the program. The
@rvs on
option will leave States and Capitals which have been used will stay highlighted. The
@rvs off
option will not. The
@easy
option will ignore answers which have already been used. The
